Content, publishing and graphic arts applications
There are few more human-intensive industries than the graphic arts. A handful of people do all the thinking, and then scores of people struggle through an ocean of execution — almost none of which can be automated. Data entry. Graphics preparation. Design. Layout. Prepress. Endless tight budgets. Always fewer people than you need. Late nights and looming deadlines. BabbleGlass can provide the resources to take the pressure off, at a price you can afford.

Get your content into digital form

One of the most annoying facts of modern business life is that everything lands on your desk in paper form but you can’t really do anything with it until it’s in electronic form. This could be repetitive data that needs to be keyed, or it could be writing and other forms of content requiring conversion from manuscript to electronic form. Use BabbleGlass’s Data Entry Operators to get this job done. We recommend double key strategies for most data entry, where the original is keyed totally twice and then compared to produce one error-free version.

Make sure your content is accurate

Now that you have your data (or your design or layout or any other content) you face the question of where the mistakes are. We all have the experience of pouring over designs for hours trying to find misspellings and other errors before something goes to print or to the website, and we’ve all experienced that knowing smile from someone who found an error you missed. Hiring BabbleGlass’s Copy Editors/Proofreaders/Indexers enables you to pour over enormous volumes on content and get it right.

Graphic design execution

A graphic designer friend of ours used to call the text content he worked with “blabbage” — what mattered to him was the total look of the finished work. And he was right — content can’t help you sell if not presented in a professional finished form. Use our Graphic Designers and Web Designers to help take finished content and convert it quickly into effective, finished, professional business communications. Many of our Graphic Designers are strong in print but can also support web applications (and vice versa for Web Designers), so you don’t necessarily need to have both to get the job done.

Graphic design production and art execution

If you’re already in the graphic arts business, chances are you’ve already got all the creativity you need. You have an art director or creative director already, and what you really need is more (and less expensive) arms and legs to do everything else that’s needed to fully execute a design. If you have intensive or repetitive layout needs in InDesign® or Quark Xpress®, use our Desktop Publishing Operators to allow you to move rapidly and inexpensively from a finished template to reams of finished page layouts. If you have large quantities of bitmap art and photography to prepare, use our Digital Image Processing Operators to increase your execution capacity inexpensively. Or, hire our Digital Illustrators to create original art in Photoshop®, Illustrator® or similar programs. If you operate in billable hours of course you’ll really win — since you can bill time to a client at normal rates while paying much less.

Print preparation

If you are on the printing side of the graphic arts industry, or if you routinely prepare large volumes of work for printing, use our Digital Prepress Operators to increase capacity and lower your costs. With more amateurs executing design without a knowledge of the printing process, and with run lengths steadily falling, prepress is a larger and larger part of a typical printer’s labor costs. Shifting this work offshore provides dramatic savings, allowing better profits or more competitive pricing in an increasingly tough market.
